Wego To Accept Stablecoin Payments Via Triple-A

Wego has partnered with Triple-A.

The marketplace platform for booking travel and accommodation has announced it has selected Triple-A to support stablecoins. Users will now be able to pay in top stablecoins for flights and hotels.

In a press release, Wego CBO Mamoun Hmidan stated:

“By enabling digital currency payments through our partnership with Triple-A, we are giving travelers more flexibility in how they pay for flights and travel services, especially in cross-border scenarios where traditional payment options may be less efficient or less accessible.”

For Triple-A, they are focusing on providing payout and acceptance solutions to a number of global sectors, including airlines and hotels, gaming, creators, fintechs, and e-commerce platforms.

Wego is currently ranked the top search solution for people looking to book different flights and accommodation in the Middle East, and per year it receives 5M in traffic according to latest SemRush data.

The global travel search industry has scaled over the last 20 years with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies). In 2025, the market was valued at around $700B and is forecasted to pass the $1T mark by 2030.

With AI agents and expanded agentic search platforms, this is set to progress quite quickly. If stablecoins are accepted on the majority of search aggregators and OTAs, both will benefit over time.
