Tether's Supply Adds $4B+ In April, Ethereum Chases Down Tron
Tether's stablecoin supply has increased in the month of April, with Ethereum network closing down the gap with leader Tron.

Tether has added $4B+ of USDT stablecoin in April.
The largest stabelcoin issuer has continued to increase its issuance as total market cap now sits at $188B per DefiLlama. Importantly, the gap between the networks leading most USDT transactions onchain nearly closes as native Ethereum supply sits at 84B and Tron at 85B in supply.
If looking at USDT cumulatively across additional Ethereum L2 networks, Tether's own data page shows it already surpassed and stands at 97B, with total market cap numbers slightly varying.
Also, the broader metrics show an indication of how the stablecoin issuer is performing with 34B daily transfer volumes, 12M weekly active users. as well as 2K law enforcement cases relating to freezing illicit wallet address activity around the world.
