MiCA deadline is approaching fast.
Several digital asset companies and exchanges have given updates due to the end of the MiCA transition period coming into effect on 1st July 2026.
Companies such as Ripple, Coinbase and OpenPayd have made it clear that they are aligned with the European regulatory framework for digital assets. Both Ripple (preliminary approval) and Coinbase (full approval) have received their licenses via Luxembourg's domestic financial regulatory body.
Others, such as Binance, are facing last minute struggles to get a European country's approval as it has officially announced that it will be looking at other options after withdrawing from the process in Greece following procedural issues.
