Crossmint unveils their latest step forward to embrace the rise of the agentic economy, allowing developers to integrate API for Visa cards.

Crossmint has launched Agentic Cards.
Crossmint has partnered with Visa to launch their latest product to expand payment infrastructure and opportunities for AI Agents. Developers can now embed secure and approved Visa payment cards across AI workflow solutions in collaboration with Basis Theory.
In a press release, Co-founder Alfonso Gómez-Jordana Mañas commented:

Crossmint has doubled down on its AI-native narrative and sees stablecoins playing an integral role.
This follows on from their Lobster Cash release, which allows AI Agents to spin up virtual cards to use leading stablecoins such as USDC on Solana to pay for everyday items online.
While Web 2.0 was largely built for humans to browse web pages and search for information, more recently, there is a rising argument that the future of internet commerce and browsing will feature AI Agents.
Stablecoin companies are the first to lead and prepare for this, as their digital payment infrastructures will likely be used alongside traditional card authorization networks to accommodate transfers.
