Circle Foundation is increasing its humanitarian work with the UN (United Nations).

Announced at Davos where world leaders unite at the beginning of each year, Circle Foundation is expected to work more closely with DHoTS (United Nations' Digital Hub of Treasury Solutions). Many challenges exist today with how humanitarian aid is handled, from settlement times to accountability.

UNDP Administrator Alexander De Croo expressed:

"…By using regulated stablecoins for program payments and cross border transfers, we can reduce costs, improve transparency, and build more inclusive and trustworthy financial systems that protect people’s data, respect monetary sovereignty, and support long term resilience."

The focus is to support with the provision of stablecoin funding and aid disbursements across individual intitiatives, such as those that require assistance across the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), as well as many other sister departments within the UN.

Additionally, there is an emphasis on better financial education and inclusion for beneficiaries and recipients, meaning representatives from Circle will aim to improve the old money architecture through which bi-lateral and multi-lateral transfers move today.

According to 2025 UN OCHA data (Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs), around $24.5B of funding was globally reported by different agencies. Occuppied Palestine Territories received the most by region, and by sector, the top 3 categories included Food Security ($5.4B), Health ($3.4B) and Early Recovery (1.5B).
