Banking Circle receives its MiCA license.
The company has officially received a CASP (Crypto Asset Service Provider) license in France. With this, Banking Circle is opening up new stablecoin settlement and stablecoin fiat conversion for its clients.
CEO Laust Bertelsen expressed:
“The award of our CASP license is an important milestone for Banking Circle, as well as for the broader payments ecosystem. Stablecoins have fast evolved from a peripheral innovation into core infrastructure for cross-border settlement, treasury management, and financial inclusion."
Alongside its existing payment and FX (Foreign Exchange) services for predominately banking and large financial institutions, Banking Circle will be able to process onchain transfers with stablecoins such as USDG, USDC and EURI as permitted under the CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier).
